Parish Magazine - Village and Church news

The Parish Magazine (Village & Church News) is delivered free each month to every house within the Mells Group of Parishes: Buckland Dinham, Chantry, Great Elm, Mells with Vobster and Whatley.

Besides church matters it publicises events and meeting times of various groups and clubs in the area. Letters from parishioners on relevant matters are also included and other contributions are welcome, space permitting.  A “Contacts Page” provides contact information for Church personnel, County, Mendip District and Parish Councils, Police and Community Support Officers.

Revenue is required to assist with printing costs and this, in the main, is generated by including advertisements from local trades-people, and also by donations from individuals.

Our Priorities

Mells Parish Council’s priority is to administer with prudence, minimum interference and within the requirements of the law those aspects of village life for which we are responsible to the best of our ability, with the aim of improving quality of life for all the residents of Mells and Vobster.
